Our business began with our love for the horse. We took in a young boy several years ago and adopted him as our own. He had a natural ability that I’ve never seen before in regards to horsemanship. Since we don’t have any children of our own, he was a blessing to my wife and I. His dream was to become a trainer and win the Kentucky Derby. So we took our small operation and started growing the business, all the while looking for better mares to breed to better sires, spending hour upon hour every day studying everything we could to learn and understand how to breed the best with what we had.
We made a lot of mistakes but without those mistakes its difficult to learn, grow and experience high levels of success. The depth of knowledge that we pursued were limitless, the science, the mental aspects of horses, conformation, blood, family history and so much more took us into a journey that was wonderfully frustrating and highly rewarding.
Unfortunately, my son was killed in a traffic accident on his way back from the feed store to the farm on a rare foggy day. It was a terrible tragedy and a great loss to our industry not to mention our hearts that will always have a hole which will never completely fill. I made a decision to carry on our dream. So, I quit my job and set out to breed, train, and develop the finest thoroughbred racers that I could. I also developed excellent relationships with several top farms in Kentucky of which we have partnered with two of them on several horses. We own several seasons to top stallions in Kentucky and through trial and error, have made some outstanding decisions on some of the finest Thoroughbred race horse trainers in the nation that are genuinely concerned with the success and wellbeing of our prized Thoroughbred racehorses.
